Here in Spain, there are very few District Nursing Teams and an even smaller Palliative Care Team.   We offer a combination of support, information and medical experience along with hands-on nurses and carers or as little as a friendly voice and help with everyday problems that may occur when one becomes ill in Spain. We provide medical advice and liase with the Costa Blanca Palliative Care team, which consists of Doctors and Nurses.

At present we cover from Pilar De Horadada up to Gran Alicant on the coast and inland to Orihuela. 

The nurses will operate as a combination of what we all understand and know the MacMillan and Marie Curie Nurses do.  Nurses and carers will be provided free of charge (subject to assessment) at the latter stages to patients with a terminal prognosis. This service is not just for cancer patients but anyone at the end stage of their illness for example: stroke/heart disease/motor neurone disease/cronic obstructive pulmonary disease etc.

Our Offices are open from 9.30 am until 12.30pm Monday to Friday, telephone number 966 790 363.  Our telephone number is available 24/7 although we ask you please to bear in mind that outside of office hours this number will be answered by the nurse on call, therefore please only ring the office number out of hours if you have a specific enquiry for the nurses.  Your call may be directed to an answerphone out of hours, please leave a message and a nurse will call you back ASAP.

Patients needing urgent attention will need to contact their local ambulance service or Centro de Salud.

There is an "Email the nurse" service for non urgent enquiries. Our pledge is to respond to all emails within 24 hours, however, we expect more often it will be within the same day.

Home Nursing Service

Paul Cunningham Nurses are raising funds to provide care in the community for terminally ill patients.  Nurses and carers are provided free of charge, subject to an assessment, at the latter stages to patients with a terminal prognosis.
Paul Cunningham Nurses are also able to offer a very supportive general nursing service for those who need us. Our service is available 24/7.
